Kensington Up Close - 11 Aug 2015

Ranger, the rescued Red-tailed Hawk
I had the opportunity to speak at the August 11th Huron Valley Audubon Society's Meeting at Kensington Metropark. My presentation "Birding the Great Migration of Kenya 2013" went over very well, and I thank Kathy Hansen for the invitation.

I arrived about an hour early so I walked around the Nature Center and took advantage of the inviting wildlife.  Everything was close, close, close. So I took the opportunity to take some portraits.

That Sandhill Crane photo with the ruffled feathers in one of the most striking photos I've seen of those cranes. Thanks for sharing your day and artistic eye!
